He is a Proctor in Admiralty and a veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he served in support of various naval missions both on shore and at sea throughout the first Gulf War. John is an Adjunct Professor at Suffolk University Law School where he teaches Admiralty & Maritime Law and coaches oral advocacy for the Admiralty Moot Court Team for the annual Judge John R. Brown Admiralty Moot Court Competition.
John is a partner in the Boston office of Holbrook & Murphy. He is a Proctor in Admiralty and concentrates his practice in all areas of maritime law, including marine casualties, personal injury, collisions/allisions, Limitation of Liability Act, Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act claims, maritime commercial transactions and foreclosures, vessel arrest, and Defense Base Act claims.
